Kurt Warner (born June 22, 1971) is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 12 seasons, primarily with the St. Louis Rams and Arizona Cardinals. His career, which saw him ascend from an undrafted free agent to a two-time NFL Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Super Bowl MVP, is regarded as one of the greatest Cinderella stories in NFL history.

Warner was born in Burlington, Iowa, and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He played college football at Northern Iowa, where he was a two-time All-American. After going undrafted in the 1994 NFL Draft, Warner signed with the Green Bay Packers, but was cut during training camp. He then spent four years playing in the Arena Football League (AFL) and NFL Europe.

In 1998, Warner signed with the St. Louis Rams as a backup quarterback.

However, when starter Trent Green was injured in the preseason, Warner was named the starter. Warner led the Rams to a 13-3 record and a berth in Super Bowl XXXIV, where they defeated the Tennessee Titans 23-16. Warner was named Super Bowl MVP after throwing for 414 yards and two touchdowns.

Warner continued to excel in 2000, leading the Rams to a 14-2 record and another Super Bowl berth. However, the Rams lost Super Bowl XXXV to the Baltimore Ravens. Warner was named NFL MVP for the second time in his career in 2001.

Warner's career was derailed by injuries in the early 2000s. He was traded to the Arizona Cardinals in 2004, where he led the team to a playoff berth in 2008. In 2009, Warner led the Cardinals to Super Bowl XLIII, where they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-23.

Warner retired from the NFL in 2010. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2015 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.

Warner is one of the most beloved and respected figures in NFL history. He is known for his perseverance, his leadership, and his faith. Warner's story is an inspiration to us all, and he is a true role model.
