Jules Moigniez (1835-1894) was a French animalier sculptor who is best known for his highly detailed bronze sculptures of birds. He was born in Senlis, Oise, France, and studied sculpture under Paul Comoléra at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Moigniez exhibited his work at the Paris Salon from 1855 until his death in 1894, and he was awarded a bronze medal in 1878 and a silver medal in 1889.

Moigniez's sculptures are characterized by their realism and attention to detail.

He often depicted birds in their natural habitats, and his bases were often decorated with plants and other elements of nature. Moigniez's work was popular with both critics and collectors, and his sculptures can be found in museums around the world.

Moigniez's work was highly influential on other animalier sculptors of the time, and his sculptures are still admired today for their realism and beauty.
